The Betsy Wang Team was proud to have been a sponsor of the Burlington Sound of Music Festival, one of Canada’s largest free outdoor music festivals, where we raised an impressive $2,000 for the Joseph Brant Hospital through the sale of teddy bears. The funds contributed to supporting the hospital’s efforts in providing quality healthcare and essential services to the Burlington community.
The Burlington Sound of Music Festival was an iconic annual event that brought together music lovers from across Ontario and beyond. Held along the scenic shores of Spencer Smith Park the festival featured a diverse lineup of local and international artists, spanning multiple genres like rock, jazz, country, indie, and more. Since its inception in 1980, the festival had grown into a highly anticipated event, offering not just live performances but also family-friendly activities, food vendors, and a vibrant atmosphere that celebrated music and community.
The Sound of Music Festival typically ran for several days and included a variety of stages, showcasing both emerging talents and well-established acts. In addition to the music, the festival featured events like the Grande Festival Parade, highlighting local talent, dancers, and floats, as well as a fun-filled midway with rides and games. The atmosphere was electric, drawing people of all ages to enjoy the performances and take in the scenic surroundings of Burlington’s waterfront.
For the Betsy Wang Team, participating in the Sound of Music Festival was an opportunity to connect with the local community, support a beloved Burlington tradition, and give back to a cause close to our hearts. Our booth, featuring a selection of cute teddy bears for sale, was well-received by festival-goers, and we were thrilled to witness the generosity of the community. Every dollar raised helped Joseph Brant Hospital continue its mission of delivering compassionate care to the people of Burlington.
